Nothing can start a an all out Kpop fight like the release of a YG video, especially when it's a solo video from the leader from one of Kpop's biggest Groups. This morning G-Dragon released his new Video "ONE OF A KIND", and the Kpop forums have been blowing up since it came out. Some people have been saying that G-Dragon is just trying to be like Lil Wayne, and this is why he has the dreads. They also think that is going to be the death of real Hip Hop in Korea, and it's going to be a commercial like in the US.
This is so funny, because Lil Wayne is actually a very creditable rapper. I know his work lately has just been auto tuned crap, and well his love of drake has made him become a little bit of a joke. (My opinion Drake is just a sad copy cat of Lil wayne, who seriously lacks any real swag. I give him one more album before people will be over him if that. He just doesn't have anything else to offer the Hip Hop game aside from being a wayne copycat...I got off topic lol) Basically what i'm saying is that Wayne has a very unique flow, and style. It's something that A lot of people look up to, or try to put into their music. I don't think G-dragon should be faulted for looking up to little Wanye. Again this goes back to what I said in the 2ne1 vs....um...who..oh yeah Evol (I'm just kidding, I remember their names lol) :D Basically popular Culture influences and inspires other artists. It's called trends.
I think alot of people said the Little wayne thing because he had dreads in the video. He looked more like Milli Vanilli than Lil Wayne to me, but hey that's just me. lol. RetroSwag.
G-DRAGON - ONE OF A KIND M/V Full Video
So the video starts off with A Tiger, and what looks like a "One of a Kind" Street Gang I guess. (How fierce was the chick dancing with them...Super Fierce I know right!). Then G-Dragon is on a couch playing telephone with two super cute kids (Adorbs!). The boy gets bored with playing telephone and one falls asleep. So I guess they are saying G-Dragon sucks at telephone. I used to always want a baby Tiger, but my mom told me no. This video makes me think I need to get one because they make awesome fashion accesories. (Where do you purchase a baby Tiger?)
Then it looks like G-Dragon was sent to jail, (I'm guessing it was for the illegal use of a baby tiger as a fashion statement). Then he dances out and he is dancing with hot military girls (Those outfits are soooo cute omg!). Ok this video is pretty random, as you see from what I've said, and the him kissing barbie picture above from it. Which Ok that is also A lot like Lil Wayne, but again "Trends!" I really like the song and video. It's random, but it's more like a look at everything kind of video.
You have to watch it like a million times before you catch everything thrown into it, and those types of videos are always really fun. The song is really catchy too, and goes perfect with the video. The dances in the video will also make people drool with wanting to learn them, just like the video is gonna make blonde weave stocks rise. Leave it to G-Dragon to hit us with a look that is totally different than what he had before, while pumping us full of swag. Well Played G-Dragon...Well Played!
